I blog on things that mean something to me. I guess I always come back to things that hold importance in a personal way. That's the only way I really feel comfortable communicating.

It seems like bad luck follows people
I think that going to college is something that should be respected. But as going back to school as an older student, I get all kinds of negativity from the younger generation. It is all very hard to take. Everyone is playing me the bums rush. I try to get active, as my school is full of activity, but I get kicked to the curb consistently, either from students or teachers. The attitudes prevail, and there is no real thought out caring behaviors leading to ostracizing in the worst way. But when I try to call them on it, it only gets regurgitated back into my lap. I really hate this continual lack of respect and total lack of responsibility towards other people without any sense of decency to others at all. I wish that they could be at the receiving end of things on their terms and see how those kind of reactions truly feel. It doesn't make any difference because it eats away at you from the inside and makes you feel distressed and disgusted and every one wonders about our attitude. It's about time they took a good look at their attitudes. I am tired of this whole burgeoning recklessness from day to day that doesn't relent. Every one is supposed to grin and bear it. But not everyone really wants to. I am very fed up with the things that I'm supposed to swallow short of laying down and playing dead for them. I'm good and tired of the whole insanity. What's more, the people who are being paid to help you make heads or tails of things, relinquish all responsibilities in the picture and get you all rolled over on, and then they expect you to jump for joy. I am tired of the onslaught of the devious track of they as opposed to I. It is truly a mechanism set up for distrust. They all get their jabs in but we can't get in a word edgewise, and I come out feeling thoroughly disgusted. They continually back stab to the final degree, and I am left not only perturbed, but insulted and frustrated over their complete showing of arrogance. It seems that only the dastardly arrogant survive under these conditions. I am very tired of being condemned. It doesn't make for good social commentary. And that is what is happening all around me, I am being squeezed out to the pit of my bones and then some. As long as they don't feel what is happening, I am sorry for them. People run around as some numb machines, just plowing down everyone in their way.

Hello world!
Hello world!
I wish that we had a new world, let's trade this one in for a new make and model. Alright, if they haven't been so busy reducing the funding for the National Endowment for the Arts and for the New York Council of the Arts, they would be denying budgets for the poor and homeless. This country is really in a state. I wish that I knew of a better way to get through all of this. Things would be so much better if we lived in a utopian society. But people destroy everything. Why are things the way they are? I don't understand how thieves get away with everything and the innocent victims are victimized again and again. We can't just live in a fair state of affairs. Everything has to be weighted towards one class of people. The middle class will always remain there and the lower class, it seems, will forever be locked into a downward spiral that has a chilling effect on the hopes and dreams of us at the bottom. We cannot get a fair trade, or a fair anything. I go to try to get help from the powers that be, and I come away with nothing. The whole system is belittling, and every time I hear of another thing that can give me some hope, I always wind up feeling mislead and made to feel ultimately let down. People love to lead you on , and make you believe that things are going to work out just fine, so why are you complaining? It always could have been worse. That doesn't make me feel any better about he current state of affairs. They just want to avoid dealing with the actual issue at hand since it is too complicated for them to tackle. It doesn't feel right. It is simply another way of saying we want to turn the other cheek and we don't want to hear you complain about it.
So many times I have been lead around by the nose, they don't want to see things get better for you, it's not hurting their pocket books, so what if it hurts yours. It's just not their problem. Right oh.

It's 2012
Now that it's 2012 I don't feel any different. When you get to a certain age you keep thinking I'm supposed to be hitting milestones, but it doesn't seem to happen. So like when I turned 20 I thought for sure I would be feeling different, but I didn't. And now that I have children who are either finished or finishing college, I thought this would be a milestone in my life, but it's not making a bit of difference for me in my life. When you're young you believe in the goodness of people, but I don't any more. Not after the experiences I keep having with others and their long stories that keep taking me further and further away from my personal goals. Just like when you go for help and you try to have an open mind, because you're told to do so, and then you get stabbed in the back once again. It is not just that I am not doing enough to make a difference. It's always aimed at me and I am beginning to think that is the exact problem. Whatever other people don't do is not a problem, but for me it is a big problem. I am not up to snuff. I am tired of being measured by what others can accomplish and what I'm not accomplishing for myself in my own life. It swings both ways, the door that is. I still long for a better life, but that is just what it is; hopes and dreams, that have no formation in cemented reality. I have not come across a way to make myself rise up from the much and mire that I consistently find myself in. It's strange, how some people can just make jumps in their life and keep on climbing but for me it feels more like I'm on a continual climb to a never ending reach into nowhere in particular. I wish it could all feel a lot different but for right now, I 'm doing but I don't know where it's going to lead me in the long run. I'd like to have much more concrete ideas of some solid ground from which to walk from, but I don't feel anything like that. I'm still like the teenager who hasn't yet come into their own. Maybe that's because I'm surrounding myself with young people at college. I still feel like I don't know what I want to be and where I'll be going when I grow up. And still I'm in the wake of this confusion, but I'm already grown by my timeline. However not by my age line.
